Isolation, though necessary to fight the coronavirus, is the primary tool used by perpetrators of elder abuse, neglect and exploitation. The need for “checking in” has never been more crucial.

Physical distancing takes away the opportunity for others to question the unusual bruise, the drastic loss of weight, the loss of hope. These are just a few signs that something is wrong and intervention is needed.
