Direction Home of Eastern Ohio provides choices for people to live independently in their homes. Free in-home assessments are done to provide home services as an alternative to nursing home placement or to link consumers with services in the community. Services include but are not limited to: Aging and Disability Network (provides information on services, programs and assist with referrals) Medicaid Waiver Programs (Ohio Home Care, PASSPORT, Assisted Living Waiver), Ombudsman services (advocacy for residents in long term care, group home facilities) , Family Caregiver Support, Senior Farmer's Market, Home Repair Assistance, and Wellness Programming

Ombudsman services include complaint resolutions for residents’ rights, safety and cleanliness, transfer and discharge, finances and billing. An ombudsman investigates complaints and helps to resolve problems and concerns and provides advocacy.
