-Books By Mail service that will mail, free of charge, books, DVDs, and other library materials to those who are homebound due to disability or lack of transportation. -Bookmobile also visits several senior living and assisted living communities to reach those who are not able to get out to the library. -Most popular programs for older adults have been local history programs. It allows them to relive their younger years or even the younger years of their parents or grandparents. They also often bring their grandchildren to programs for youth. The library has done a lot in the past year to offer "family" and "multi-generational" programs that appeal to wide age and ability groups. -Has offered programs in the past that teach about the onset of Alzheimer's, senior health, and financial services such as tax preparation. As new laws or procedures pop up that affect seniors, the library tries to offer programs to give them the information they need.
