Wyandot County Humane Society (WCHS)

The Wyandot County Humane Society (WCHS) is the only shelter of its kind in the Northwest/North central Ohio region. Staffed from 8am-10pm, 7 days a week, 365 days a year for taking in animals. Call ahead to surrender large animals, unusual animals, giant breed dogs, and groups of three or more animals. (There is always a volunteer on duty overnight for emergencies.) Never turn any animal away, regardless of the kind of animal (domestic animals, wildlife, livestock, exotics), what county it is from or the reason it has to be surrendered. In addition, there is never any charge for surrendering an animal


WCHS is also home to a low-cost spay/neuter program, HOPE (Helping Our Pets Everywhere). HOPE is open to everyone, regardless of level of income or county of residence.  Prices range from $25 Р$45 for cats and $45 Р$100 for dogs. Call (419)294-4477 for more information.
